Julie Adams

1952-2002

Julie had friends from all walks of life and drew people to her through her kindness and compassion. Her natural empathy came from her difficult start, including being quarantined in hospital as a child. By the time Julie was a teenager, a zest for adventure had formed. As a young mum, she stepped out of her comfort zone and started a new life in London after her first relationship ended. She tried a few different things for work until discovering a way of making a career out of her creativity. Julie trained as an antique china restorer, and soon built a unique, thriving career in the antique trade, mending valuable antiques for traders and shop owners. Julie soon became known as one of the best restorers in the UK. Julie went on to have another daughter, making her mum of two, and eventually got to have the adventures she craved as a child, holidaying afar in Egypt, Cuba, and the US, and overcoming her fears of travel. She was a wonderful mum, sensitive, easy going, and fun, and she will always be missed by the many people who loved her.
