Child Bereavement UK was honoured to have been selected for the Creative Vision Awards competition. This animated film was created at no cost to the charity by students and recent graduates of animation and VFX as part of Bournemouth University’s prestigious BFX Competition, with thanks to Moore Kingston Smith. The aim of the short, animated film is to reach young people and students so that they know how to access support and feel less alone in their grief. When working in health and social care, encountering people who are bereaved is inevitable. It is important to be aware of some ways to sensitively approach these interactions; to have the confidence to talk or just listen. The story and illustrations are so beautiful. Even though this story does not speak directly of God and His love it does indirectly and yes God’s love will find you! I love the sparkles Nancy Tillman uses in all her illustrations to represent “love”; it reminds me of God’s love and Holy Spirit. When I read this story so many bible scriptures stood out to me.
